In 2006, Capitaland set up an office in HCMC to focus on real estate and made its first investment in the residential sector in Vietnam.

In June 2008, CapitaLand opened an office in Hanoi to facilitate its expansion in Vietnam.  CapitaLand’s staff in Vietnam, made up predominantly of Vietnamese, has grown and currently numbers over 70 strong.
